  1. I’d like to propose a License Overview feature that would give customers better visibility and control over their licenses within DAM. Specifically, this functionality would include:

    1. A clear overview of the types and quantities of licenses currently held

    2. A list of users assigned to each license

    3. A count of available (unassigned) licenses

Several of my customers have referred to this as “basic functionality” and were surprised that this level of insight isn't already available. They’ve emphasized how such a feature would significantly enhance their internal coordination and license management across teams.

Given how often this request comes up — and…

  2. Building an Optimizely CMS 12 site on Optimizely CMP/DAM. Photo attribution / credit is a hard editorial requirement — public pages must display a byline next to each image.

In Graph, Description is queryable via PublicImageAsset / PublicRawFileAsset, but Attribution is not exposed on any asset type. It is also missing from DAMAssetInfo, so it does not flow through the DAM Maintenance job or the <dam-asset> / RenderTagWithMetadata helpers.

The CMP REST API is not a viable fallback: it is rate-limited, and the official DAM-in-CMS docs recommend against using it in production. A single gallery page can exhaust the quota…

  3. We have the need on a regular basis to share multiple assets at a time to the Organization (all CMP users). The amount of assets each time can vary. Currently, we share an asset by clicking the thumbnail to open the right sidebar, then click Share, enter/select the Org user group, select View Only, then the Share button. This compounds in effort when doing multiple assets. If you select multiple assets, the Share function is no longer available.

We have done workaround where we add assets to a task that has full Organization level permissions and publishing from there. That…

  4. Hello Team,

We are seeking to implement an approval sequence for assets within our Content Management Platform (CMP). Our objective is to ensure that once content is uploaded, it undergoes a structured approval process, preventing direct uploads without oversight.

To illustrate, similar to how content updates in the PaaS platform are subjected to a configured approval workflow, we aim to establish a comparable process for assets in CMP.

It has come to our attention that this functionality is currently unavailable. We believe that enabling such a workflow would significantly enhance our content management process by ensuring that any asset updates…

  5. The customer would like the ability to prevent users from uploading assets directly to the General Assets page and require all uploads to be made within folders.

    Requested Enhancement:
Add a permission or setting that restricts uploads in the General Assets page, allowing users to upload assets only when they are inside a folder.

    Benefit:
Helps maintain a more organized asset library and prevents uncategorized assets from being uploaded to the root level.

  6. We often need to update multiple assets at once. Asset selection is usually editorial in nature and the filters cannot pull up the assets. I'd like to use guids, separated by comma or space in the search box to pull up exactly what we need to edit.

  7. When updating Description, Alt Text and Attribution a user can only update one at a time. If I update 2 or 3 fields I would like them to save at the same time instead of doing it independently of one another.

  8. Configure IPTC Caption and certain other fields to flow automatically into the Optimizely proprietary Description and other custom fields.

The setup now means redundant metadata. For example, Description is under image information and also in the IPTC fields below. It would be great if it could populate the corresponding fields upon ingest.

This would be just for photos, not for graphics and other file types.

We would like additional functionality to browse in the folders of the DAM to find an image. Currently we can only search images in the search bar on the name of the image.

For now this works fine, however when we have more then 4-9 websites about kitchens live. Then the word kitchen will show a lot of the other brands mixed in the results. This will make choosing an image more error prone.

So to make the DAM more future proof a folder selection of the brand would be great.

    Kind regards,
    Jeroen

  10. We currently are limited with setting "Library Standard Fields" within the Library (DAM). We have a taxonomy that is made of several field groups / labels but they are manual to add them. A much better experience would be to have the ability to set our own Standard Fields to include others within our taxonomy.

  12. When users perform a bulk upload of assets into the DAM, they typically upload all files into a single, temporary folder (e.g., “Bulk Upload”). Afterward, users need to organize these assets into their proper folders within the DAM catalog structure.

Currently, the process requires opening multiple folders and manually moving each file, which is time-consuming and inefficient, especially when dealing with large batches of assets.

Users need an intuitive and efficient way to organize assets after bulk upload. This should include:

1)The ability to see the folder structure as a tree view in the DAM interface.

    2)The ability to drag…

  13. Problem:
Direct DAM uploads enforce mandatory metadata fields, but clicking "Send to Library" from a Task, Campaign, or Work Request bypasses these rules, resulting in untagged assets in the Library.

    Solution:
Apply the same mandatory field validation to assets published from workspace containers. If mandatory tags are missing, a pop-up modal should prompt the user to fill them in before the asset can be sent to the Library.

    Impact:
Guarantees metadata completeness and keeps DAM search filters working correctly.

  14. Although JPGs or GIFs successfully display preview thumbnail images, all video files simply show up as blank red boxes. Can you please make a feature which at least enables you to assign your own thumbnail preview image to a file if the system won't automatically generate one?

  15. Today when uploading new assets I can set custom fields to be mandatory. But important standard fields like Title, Alt text etc cannot be set as mandatory.

  17. As a digital marketing coordinator, I'd like to be able to sort assets by popularity to understand which ones have been used more regularly. This will save time as there's currently a long list of assets to look through

  18. Admins currently can’t view all folders and assets unless they’re explicitly shared or accessed via direct URL. This limits their ability to manage the platform effectively, ensure governance, and support users.

Request: Add a global permission or “Super Admin” role that grants read access to all content across the tenant, regardless of sharing settings. This would greatly improve governance, troubleshooting, and overall administrative efficiency.

  19. As a Solution Architect, I see how a lot of customers and prospects select assets from the DAM and it's a common use case to select a main image for a page and then want different renditions for things like page listings and teasers to that page. Currently the author would have to select a series of renditions manually. It would be much easier to be able to add the rendition name to the URL like this: https://images.cmp.optimizely.com/assets/rob?rendition=teaser

  20. Problem Statement:
When uploading large TIF or high‑resolution print‑quality assets (typically >200 MB), the CMP/DAM fails to generate thumbnails. Instead, users see a broken image icon. Optimizely has confirmed that thumbnails cannot be generated due to internal processing limitations related to file size.
This causes significant usability issues, as CMP/DAM users rely heavily on thumbnails—not filenames—to identify and select assets.

    1. Desired Outcome / Feature Description We request support for generating thumbnails for large TIFF and high‑resolution images, regardless of original file size, through one of the following approaches (implementation method left to Optimizely):

The core requirement: All uploaded assets must…
