License Overview Function
I’d like to propose a License Overview feature that would give customers better visibility and control over their licenses within DAM. Specifically, this functionality would include:
A clear overview of the types and quantities of licenses currently held
A list of users assigned to each license
A count of available (unassigned) licenses
Several of my customers have referred to this as “basic functionality” and were surprised that this level of insight isn't already available. They’ve emphasized how such a feature would significantly enhance their internal coordination and license management across teams.
Given how often this request comes up — and…

Approval Sequence
Hello Team,
We are seeking to implement an approval sequence for assets within our Content Management Platform (CMP). Our objective is to ensure that once content is uploaded, it undergoes a structured approval process, preventing direct uploads without oversight.
To illustrate, similar to how content updates in the PaaS platform are subjected to a configured approval workflow, we aim to establish a comparable process for assets in CMP.
It has come to our attention that this functionality is currently unavailable. We believe that enabling such a workflow would significantly enhance our content management process by ensuring that any asset updates…

Global Admin Visibility Across All Folders and Assets
Admins currently can’t view all folders and assets unless they’re explicitly shared or accessed via direct URL. This limits their ability to manage the platform effectively, ensure governance, and support users.
Request: Add a global permission or “Super Admin” role that grants read access to all content across the tenant, regardless of sharing settings. This would greatly improve governance, troubleshooting, and overall administrative efficiency.

Browser back in library
Navigating folders isn't as intuitive as you might expect. Specifically browser back doesn't take you back up a level of the structure and instead to the page viewed before the library.
This is a fundamental usability flaw of the system behaviour not aligning with the user's mental model. As I user if I have progressed one step deeper into folders then the back button should do the reverse.
We've had many internal users report frustration with this

Need ability to adjust image focal point at the rendition level
I am the Director of Digital Strategy and leader of website team at St. Luke's Health System. We need consistency across images that are placed on similar pages but taken by different photographers. Example is our Provider Finder and Provider Profile pages. Some of the original provider portraits are taken with a different approach (closer or further away), so the rendition for a provider profile page to crop them to size does not frame the provider in the correct or consistent way. I need the ability to adjust just ONE rendition to work for that specific placement, without it changing…

Set Focal Point by API
Allow focal point to be configured by API
Currently it can only be set from the CMP UI which makes an API call to
PUT https://cmp.optimizely.com/api/v3/library/image/<id> with the body:
{ "focal_point": { "x": <value>, "y": <value> } }
The DAM API endpoint https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/content-marketing-platform/reference/patch_images-id should allow us to send this as well.

Ability to edit video files
I am a marketing coordinator, I upload files to our DAM. I greatly appreciate the feature where we can edit images directly on the DAM. And it would be great if we can do similar editing with video files. Editing tools such as preset crops, filters, adjustment tools and being able to download short clips from the video file would be very useful.

Selecting All Assets Requires One Asset To Be Selected
In order for the select all option to appear, one asset needs to be selected first. Can the select all just always be available?

Rendition selection as URL parameter
As a Solution Architect, I see how a lot of customers and prospects select assets from the DAM and it's a common use case to select a main image for a page and then want different renditions for things like page listings and teasers to that page. Currently the author would have to select a series of renditions manually. It would be much easier to be able to add the rendition name to the URL like this: https://images.cmp.optimizely.com/assets/rob?rendition=teaser

Folder Restrictions in DAM
Folders in the DAM are only able to be restricted from all users at a root level. Can there be a method for restricting subfolders too? Also, it would be helpful to allow more than one owner per folder.

I want to have the assets which have been uploaded into the DAM tagged by the ai
We are going live with CMP and loading all our existing Assets into the DAM, but none of the assets which are loaded using the API are being automatically tagged by AI with the contents of the images.

Collection view filters collapse when moving between collections
The filters collapse when moving from once collection to the next. It would be helpful for them to remain intact from the previous search.

As an asset uploader in DAM for the system to recognise duplicates on upload, not just by file name but also for the actual asset content and present options for replace, merge etc

Ability to adjust image with quality and image output
As a developer I am expecting the DAM public url to be able to be querried with unique endpoints to format the original image.
I expect there to be the following endpoints queries:
- Quality (?quality=85) - a 0-100 range of quality index of the image
- Format (?format=webp) - there should be a simple solution to give a output of a different format for the channel/or display of the image itself2 votes -
Public URL for collection based on rendition
When sharing a URL based on a rendition if the user selects all and downloads the zip file, the files are not based on the rendition. The files in the zip file are the original file. The user can only get the rendition image by clicking each file and downloading them individually.
If a URL is based on a rendition, the end user should be able to download all files in that rendition and NOT the original image.

Collections download one image and it's zipped
When looking at a collection via the public link, you can select one or more files. If you select just one file, that file is zipped. It would be preferred to download just the single file not in a zipped folder.

Indefinite Expiry Option for DAM Assets
Pre-condition: An expiry date is a mandatory field for any asset uploaded to the DAM.
As a CMP/DAM Administrator,
I want the ability to mark an asset as “Indefinite” when uploading it,
so that certain assets can remain active without an expiry date and are not affected by automatic expiry rules.Acceptance Criteria
Upload Behavior
When uploading an asset to the DAM, the Expiry Date field remains mandatory.
A new checkbox option labeled “Set as Indefinite” is displayed next to the Expiry Date field.
Checkbox Functionality
When the user selects “Set as Indefinite”, the system will:
