Setting Asset Expiry Date across content on task
Hello - it would be great if we could utilize Opal for adding "asset expiry date" across final content files within tasks. It's extremely tedious to do this manually especially on tasks with multiple items in the content tab. Sometimes we have well over 20 items, at times close to 100.
The reason we're setting "asset expiry date" is to help automate archiving content in the DAM Library. Once a final version has been uploaded to a task, we've started adding "asset expiry date" so that when the final version is added to the Library, it has an expiration date…

Agent Creator/Date/Usage/Metadata
With a lot of Opal admins in one instance, we have a lot of agents. It would be great to see more system metadata about the agents. Who created them? When? When was the agent last edited? When was it last run?

Agent Trashcan
Agents can take a lot of work to build and only one tiny click to delete forever. I would like to see an agent trashcan as a fail-safe. Maybe we keep agents for 30 days? Or at least add a confirmation?

Awkward flow after activating an agent
After I activate an agent, I am taken to the agent page, where the available options are only delete, cancel, and update. It's confusing because I don't actually want to take any of those actions. So then I have to choose cancel, but did I cancel the activation of the agent? (Turns out, I did not. The agent activated successfully.)

Bulk activate agents
Would be great if there was a way to activate agents in bulk from the directory. I want them all!

Display which agents have been downloaded already/are new
When looking at the agent directory, there's no way to tell from the cards whether or not the agent has already been installed. I want to go "shopping" for new agents. So a way to see what has been installed would be great. Same with a way to see which agents are new since I last checked.

Test/improve instructions inline
Right now, you have to go back to chats to test an instruction and call it, it would be nice if you could quickly call an instruction from the instruction area to see a sample response from Opal. And/or have Opal suggest improvements like "Add a role to make responses more consistent" or "This response might conflict with another you have set up"

Add personal instructions/context
Right now, only business context is taken into account, but as a digital marketer, I have different needs from our campaigns or content team. It would be nice if we could set up those instructions either by role from admin center, or (easier) add custom instructions on our account for every user

log
Open up metrics for Opal via an API like Cloudflare edge logs?

Instruction versioning
When you're constantly testing and improving instructions, it would be nice to see older versions of instruction sets. Ideally keeping a log of older versions so we don't have to copy paste it to a document for safe-keeping

Suggest instruction sets similarly to tools
Opal will suggest tools when it replies inline, hinting that the user can use it's tools to complete certain actions, but it doesn't do that for built instructions. If instructions are built that provide helpful functions for users, Opal should suggest users use them

Support for something akin to microsofts adaptive cards
When creating instruction sets, sometimes you want to give users links, images, tables or other options back. It would be nice if you could create simple UIs in the chat interface. Microsoft solved this in Teams with their "adaptive card" framework. I would love something similar. This would drastically increase the usefulness of the UI (take for instance website feedback could look way more structured than just text)

Zoom and download images
When Opal posts an image in the chat, would like to zoom in and download that image. Right now if it shows me a screenshot of something, it can be very hard to see

Unique open message based on user or company
Right now, Opal reintroduces itself every conversation you have with it saying:
"Hi there! I'm Opal, Optimizely's AI. Great to meet you! I can help you create content, come up with campaign ideas, generate hypotheses for experiments, and much more. I can also conduct web research, analyze data, summarize documents, and answer your questions about Optimizely products. I have access to a lot of tools to help you get work done, so just try me for anything that comes to mind. Also, if you need help with using Opal, just ask me!
What are you working on today?"
It could…

Chrome extension
There's a couple of tools that we offer that could benefit from an integration with the browser. It would put Opal front and center for users, and allow them to:
- Quickly get experimentation advice for a page they're on
- Personalize content they're already viewing
- Translate a page they're on
- Review a competitor's page
- Evaluate a page for WCAG, visual clarity and/or other improvements1 vote -
Support for adding MCP tools
Just like Claude, Gemini and other AIs, it would be nice if you could add more tools into Opal. Every company we work with, likely has external tools to Optimizely that are rapidly adding integrations and exposing their tools through MCPs, it would be great if Opal could talk to those.
Ideally this would work similar to how Claude has it, where you can add a URL for the tools. Or you could even offer a 'directory' similar to our app directory with popular MCPs

Opal mobile/desktop app
Similar to how Web Experimentation has a desktop app, it would be nice if Opal had an app too to make it easier to open, keep top of mind, and integrate it into your workday. (electron wrapper anyone?)

Pasting in content clears formats
When pasting in multi-line content, it shows correctly in the textarea (prompt area), but when sending to Opal, it creates one long one-liner

Offer wider support for markdown
When I create instruction sets for executive reviews, ideally the markup shown has a wider visual variety than it does now. Allowing bolding, headlines, etc. This would increase the readability, and overall create a nicer experience using the chat.

Messaging existing threads should move it to Today
If you have a thread from a couple of days ago, posting a new message keeps it on that date in the sidebar, I would expect the date to be when the latest message came in (so jumping back to top if I message it again)
