  1. Problem
In Optimizely CMS (SaaS) there is currently no way for content editors to generate a long-lived, shareable preview link for unpublished/draft content that external stakeholders can open without a CMS / Opti ID account.
    Current limitations:

The official preview token expires in only 5–10 minutes.
The only official recommendation is to give stakeholders limited CMS access so they can open the page in Visual Builder themselves.
This creates friction for external reviews (clients, legal, marketing stakeholders, executives, agencies, etc.) and forces customers to either:
Maintain a separate staging environment, or
    Build custom workarounds.

This was a solved problem on…

  2. CMS (SaaS) does not currently expose an explicit height/width setting for the rich-text editor. Unlike CMS PaaS (where the editor size can be set in code via the TinyMCE Configuration API), SaaS is configured entirely through the content-type contract, and the only editor setting available for a rich-text property is the toolbar preset.

As a developer worried with the user experience, I would like to have the ability to set the text area's height, at least.

  3. I manage our website and we just switched over to Optimizely. It is FAR better than our old system! However, editing our website is not intuitive and the button symbols are so rarely intuitive with their functions. Minimally when you hover over a button it should tell you what it's function is, please!

  4. We currently manage our website in English plus 13 additional languages. Currently, the workflow to translate content requires editors to manually open each target language version in the Languages gadget, initiate auto-translate via Opal, and then manually publish each version. This requires a minimum of 13 separate clicks/actions for every single content change.

We would like a "set-and-forget" automation rule or workflow capability. When a page or block is published in the master language (English):
    1. An automated workflow triggers immediately.
    2. It sends the updated English content to Opal AI's Content Translation engine.
    3. It automatically updates, localizes, and…

  5. When we have a CMS instance on the Conservative ring, it does not prevent updates to the associated DAM instance (and Graph schema for that DAM instance), which can cause issues when the CMS graph doesn't get updated at the same time. See support ticket #1910807 for an example.

  7. When enabling the "List" option for a "block" property type, adding blocks to an actual instance of my item only shows the name of the block type in the list and it is impossible to differentiate each item without opening them all (see attached screenshot). In the non-SaaS version of the CMS I see there is a way in code to set a nested property as the item header using ListItemHeaderProperty as described here https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/content-management-system/docs/property-value-list

Please enable the ability to select a nested property as the header in SaaS CMS, either via the API or the UI for defining content…

  9. CMS has several built-in reports under the Reports tab (Simple Addresses, Expired Pages, Link Status, etc.) that display useful content data, but none of them offer an export option. Users can view the data on screen, but have no way to download it, only copy paste it.

Adding a CSV export button to these reports would be helpful. The data is already being generated and rendered. The Simple Addresses report is a common pain point, as customers regularly need to audit simple addresses across their site and currently have to resort to Graph queries or custom API calls to extract…

  10. Monitoring & Alerting

Optimizely to enable monitoring and alerting capabilities:

    I. Monitoring
Development of a dashboard for API monitoring, providing visibility into:
    ⦁ API availability
    ⦁ API failures
    ⦁ Traffic trends
    ⦁ Infra utilization

    II. Alerts (Email & Mobile)
Enable proactive alerts to RAKBANK stakeholders for:
    ⦁ Any API failure
    ⦁ No traffic detected
    ⦁ High CPU utilization
    ⦁ Hardware‑related issues

III. Alerts should be delivered via:
    ⦁ Email
    ⦁ Mobile notifications

  11. Ability to set permissions either at the property level or the tab/property group level.

Example scenario: you have SEO fields on a page/experience type that only people in an "SEO Manager" role should be able to modify, while other roles can modify the rest of the page properties/content.

  12. There should be a button (or by clicking the CDN-cache purge) that cleares/invalidates the Graph cache.
This is especially useful (necessary) when Graph synchronization fails, as the cache is only cleared upon sync completed.

  13. Customers have the ability to manage CMS product details in Admin Center, including the CMS navigation URL - https://support.optimizely.com/hc/en-us/articles/28866325868301-Manage-product-details

However, the instance name in the URL is not customizable from this customer facing feature and would require a some engineering effort. Customers have asked to update their instance names similar to their own naming standards.

  16. I would like to be able to troubleshoot slot instances instead of contacting support for the log files. In the log stream you are only able to access the master slots and when appending -slot to the url it says that logging is not enabled for this site/slot.
We had an issue with a block type which had gone from a on page property to a contentarea and a change from string to XhtmlString on one of the blocks props. I thought it was solved when removing the single instance of the block but the on page property was still…

  17. To restrict environments by IP requires implementing something via code:
    https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/digital-experience-platform/docs/restricting-environment-access
This is cumbersome, especially for IP ranges. In addition it's not possible to restrict/allow by service tag - which we would also like to do.
Our application needs to allow it's own outbound IPs that can change at any time. Relying on a code-based IP restriction means that the site could become unavailable if the outbound IPs change.

  18. Hi Opti Team,
We are consistently receiving feedback from our customers expressing dissatisfaction with the current availability of logs within our system.
For context, we recently received the following response from your support team regarding log access:
"As mentioned in the follow up ticket, the CMS system does not handle login information. You can see the last login date in [dbo].[AspNetUsers] if you use AspNetIdentity. If you use another authentication method, you will have to handle it yourself."
This response, while technically accurate, does not provide a practical solution for our customers who require access to log data for various…
