  1. EPiServer.CMS version 12.22.7
When trying to add multiple blocks under one personalization group with the same visitorgroup, they can't be merged together as it is today. And when trying to do this as in the attached image, it is just the top item of the same visitorgroup that renders.
There is something that does not play well here. The correct behaviour we think should be to easely merge items with the same visitorgroup.

  2. In the previous version there has been an icon like a globe in the top right corner of Epi's editor where you have been able to open the current page you are editing in a new window with its external link (without seeing it in the editor. That ability is gone in version 12.22.3 but was present in version 12.20.0 of the EPIserver.CMS package.
We need that to preview our documents and to get the exakt url to the webpage.

  3. Hi Team
As a Customer, we want to be able to add new languages which are not currently visible or supported in EPiServer Language Manager, so that we can support our current business model as part of our long term strategic plans to migrate our current websites over to the Optimizely CMS/DXP Platform.
Currently within EPiServer CMS, we can only assign one locale per root folder per site in Optimizely which is not really a feasible thing to do. A couple examples of language cultures which are currently not supported within EPiServer Language Manager are : en-fr / en-es and…

  4. As an editor I would like to make up visitor groups based on customer data from ODP. Profile properties, segments etc.
I am aware of a community add-on that accomplishes this. But I believe this is something that is so important it should come from the Optimizely.

  5. As a Digital Marketing Manager, I've observed that CMS editors often neglect help texts. To enhance visibility and address this issue, I believe implementing an option to display these help texts immediately would significantly improve the situation.

  6. Allow for a full list view of all project details, including tasks and workflow steps. It's hard to review all the work needed for a project when having to flip between each task to see the workflow steps.
    Something like this:
    | Task 1 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
    | Step 1 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
    | Step 2 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
    | Task 2 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
    | Step 1…

  7. We need to add files within a directory at the root level of the website. This is needed to update Google Analytics administrators as well applying files to the .well-known folder is standard for website hosting.

  9. Give the editor a visual indicator that the page has a fallback or replacement language. Today the editor needs to mouse our the language code to see if a fallback is set. See attachments.

  10. As a developer I want to be able to expand more than one level in the Content Delivery API to be able to retrieve nested properties in content areas. When doing this, I want to be able to control the maximum number of levels to expand.

  11. From .NET 8 Preview 3 we see a lot of the upcoming new third Blazor mode: Blazor SSR
    https://github.com/dotnet/aspnetcore/tree/main/src/Components/Samples/BlazorUnitedApp
    https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/asp-net-core-updates-in-dotnet-8-preview-3/#server-side-rendering-with-blazor-components
This mode can handle traditional request/response and will also handle form posts with model binding where everything is server-rendered.
Looks very likely that this will quite quickly start replacing MVC and Razor Pages for new ASP.NET web apps since people will want to be in the nice Blazor component model.
Blazor SSR also seems like it will work great with other clientside options (any JS framework or approaches like htmx, Hotwired.dev etc so we are not restricted to only go…

  12. It would be great if developers can configure CSP to use nonce. So that they can increase the security and control of what resources are loaded by the application.
Currently almost all script tags are rendered without CSP nonces and the site is broken because the browser refused to execute the script.

  13. As an editor, when searching in the Pages gadget, results from all sites are shown.
Add a label to indicate what site the result is from. It's possible multiple sites have the same named content. i.e. 'Blog'
So it would be ideal to see:
    Blog [Site 1]
    Blog [Site 2]

  14. Our CMS authors need a built-in reporting tool that will list all pages, blocks and documents that contain a specific keyword (In strings, xhtmlStrings or external links. Ideally this would allow replacement of the text with another term in pages and blocks.

  15. At the moment, if we try to save a custom workbook in application insights, we get the following error:
"You do not have the ability to create workbooks in this resource group".
Is it possible to modify the access rights so we have the option to create workbooks?

  16. When content is expired in the CMS content tree, it displays a red clock icon to indicate expired status. When editing content in "All Properties" mode references inside content areas that are expired becomes hard to spot unless explicitly switching to "On-Page Editing". Having the status icons present inside content areas would be great assistance to editors that want to work with clean content.

  17. One of our customers is using the EPiServer.Forms.Samples library, mostly to facilitate content gating with the Forms Visitor Groups. During a recent penetration test the following was reported:
We also observed the use of a known vulnerable version of jquery-ui at /Util/EPiServer.Forms.Samples/jquery-ui/jquery-ui.js which is known to have the following vulnerabilities
CVE-2022-31160 (https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-31160 : XSS when refreshing a checkboxradio with an HTML-like initial text label
    Recommendation
Use the latest versions of the dependencies where possible. If it is not possible to update these, ensure the vulnerable components are not used.
There does not appear to be an equivalent of the…

  18. If you in admin change the "Web Address Prefix" for languages the editor interface uses different language codes in different locations. In the page tree navigation it uses the language code but on the page header of the page the "Web Address Prefix" is used.
This confuses the editors. See attachments.

  19. Maintaining the number of blocks is important to editors. When using Powershell module you can get a list of blocks that are not in use so editors can maintain content on the site.
The problem is that blocks that are located in "For This Page" folders does not contain the page information in the breadcrumb (see attachment. This means that it's hard to find the folder containing this block if you want to delete the block. Extending the breadcrumb to include the owner (page of the folder "For This Page" would help the editors to know the location.

  20. For example: We need to add the culture en-ES for a customer. It exists as a valid culture in .NET but is not available to select as a language in the CMS.
(In our setup it is not an option to use the default en language code for English on the spanish site.
