  1. The feature we are looking for is the ability to select multiple assets in DAM simultaneously and disable or remove their public links in bulk, rather than having to navigate to each asset individually.

A key use case for this is when an asset needs to be replaced in an application. In such cases, the old asset still needs to be retained for auditing purposes, but its public link should be disabled. The new asset would then have a public link generated in its place. Having a bulk action for this would significantly streamline the process, particularly when dealing with…

  2. Configure IPTC Caption and certain other fields to flow automatically into the Optimizely proprietary Description and other custom fields.

The setup now means redundant metadata. For example, Description is under image information and also in the IPTC fields below. It would be great if it could populate the corresponding fields upon ingest.

This would be just for photos, not for graphics and other file types.

  3. We currently are limited with setting "Library Standard Fields" within the Library (DAM). We have a taxonomy that is made of several field groups / labels but they are manual to add them. A much better experience would be to have the ability to set our own Standard Fields to include others within our taxonomy.

  4. When updating Description, Alt Text and Attribution a user can only update one at a time. If I update 2 or 3 fields I would like them to save at the same time instead of doing it independently of one another.

  5. Business analyst / Content integrator

We would like additional functionality to browse in the folders of the DAM to find an image. Currently we can only search images in the search bar on the name of the image.

For now this works fine, however when we have more then 4-9 websites about kitchens live. Then the word kitchen will show a lot of the other brands mixed in the results. This will make choosing an image more error prone.

So to make the DAM more future proof a folder selection of the brand would be great.

    Kind regards,
    Jeroen

  6. We often need to update multiple assets at once. Asset selection is usually editorial in nature and the filters cannot pull up the assets. I'd like to use guids, separated by comma or space in the search box to pull up exactly what we need to edit.

  8. Allow focal point to be configured by API

Currently it can only be set from the CMP UI which makes an API call to

    PUT https://cmp.optimizely.com/api/v3/library/image/<id> with the body:

    { "focal_point": { "x": <value>, "y": <value> } }

The DAM API endpoint https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/content-marketing-platform/reference/patch_images-id should allow us to send this as well.

  10. Problem Statement:
Users in CMP/DAM are currently seeing a banner stating “You only have view rights” with a “Request” button. This banner appears even for users who:

Already have higher access roles (e.g., CMP Creator)
Have not been restricted from assets
Should not be requesting higher access based on internal governance

When users click “Request”, no notification or approval flow appears anywhere in the admin console ( I am admin) but notifies one seemingly randomly selected admin.

    Support confirmed:

    • The banner cannot be disabled
    • The button cannot be hidden

We find the process behind the request to be unclear.

    The…

  11. When users perform a bulk upload of assets into the DAM, they typically upload all files into a single, temporary folder (e.g., “Bulk Upload”). Afterward, users need to organize these assets into their proper folders within the DAM catalog structure.

Currently, the process requires opening multiple folders and manually moving each file, which is time-consuming and inefficient, especially when dealing with large batches of assets.

Users need an intuitive and efficient way to organize assets after bulk upload. This should include:

1)The ability to see the folder structure as a tree view in the DAM interface.

    2)The ability to drag…

  12. Our DAM users upload assets, change the Title and set metadata. The original uploaded filename is not shown on the asset details so it's difficult to find and confirm that the asset is in fact the one that was uploaded.
The request is to show the original uploaded filename on the asset details.

  13. Business analyst / Content integrator

Instead of uploading one image at the time, multiple images can be selected and uploaded with standard image settings.

This will make content integration much quicker for large volumes of images.

    Kind regards,
    Jeroen

We would like additional functionality to browse via the tags of the DAM to find an image. Currently we can only search images in the search bar on the name of the image.

This is related to the browsing via folders of the DAM to find an image quicker.

  15. As a digital marketing coordinator, I'd like to be able to sort assets by popularity to understand which ones have been used more regularly. This will save time as there's currently a long list of assets to look through

  17. Currently only mandatory fields can be shown during the upload function. It would be very helpful to also have not mandatory fields which can be filled already during the upload.
If you upload multiple assets it is very time consuming that you need to edit the assets afterwards once again in order to fill all the non-mandatory fields as well.

  18. Currently, when users upload an asset (e.g., image, video, or document) into Optimizely DAM, they can click “Apply” and complete the upload process without filling in key metadata fields such as Name and Alt Text.
This results in inconsistent metadata, accessibility gaps, and difficulty in content management and asset retrieval. Ensure all assets uploaded to Optimizely DAM contain complete and standardized metadata by making the fields “Name” and “Alt Text” mandatory during the upload process.

    This change will:

Improve content accessibility and compliance with WCAG standards.

Enhance searchability and asset management within DAM.

Support brand consistency across all markets.

  19. When sharing a URL based on a rendition if the user selects all and downloads the zip file, the files are not based on the rendition. The files in the zip file are the original file. The user can only get the rendition image by clicking each file and downloading them individually.

If a URL is based on a rendition, the end user should be able to download all files in that rendition and NOT the original image.
