We would like the ability to designate default watchers at the workflow level. When a workflow is applied to a task or hypothesis, those designated individuals would automatically be added as watchers.

Today, users are only automatically added as watchers if they are assigned to a step within the workflow. However, there are many cases where stakeholders need more visibility into progress and updates without owning any workflow steps.

Proposed Enhancement:

Add a "Default Watchers" section to workflow configuration.
Allow workflow administrators to specify one or more users as watchers.

When the workflow is used to create or update a task or hypothesis, those users are automatically added as watchers.

Default watchers would behave the same as manually added watchers and could still be removed if needed.
