Content Preview Does Not Indicate Annotations
In the content tab, the Preview shows content that has been uploaded - but if annotations/edits are made, there is no indication of this from the Preview screen. One must go into the editing/markup menu in order to see comments that have been left. It would be helpful to end-users if they could see a notification similar to "comments have been left on this content" from the Preview screen.

I had this idea today and after reviewing the existing suggestions I think it aligns with this one. Hopefully, this note will give it some direction and help its progress along.
I try to keep my Tasks fairly clean, but there are always some that have multiple items in the Content area. The example screen shot is from a current task that has three PDFs in the Content area. Two of those PDFs are in review and I keep manually checking them for new edits because the Reviewer is not marking the Review step in the Workflow complete nor manually notifying me when I need to address new comments.
What if… the icons for the PDFs (or whatever file type) in the Content area show a tally of unresolved comments similar to an icon badge one sees on the apps on their phone or other devices?See attached screen images as a mock-up.
I would find this very helpful in that I wouldn't have to continuously click into a document to confirm whether there are comments/edits that need to be addressed. It may also be helpful to others, like someone monitoring the Task, to quickly see that there are things that need to be addressed without having to dive into the content individually.Secondarily, when a new draft is uploaded, because there is a counter involved, a pop-up message could appear which states, "There are unresolved comments on the current draft. Are you sure you want to proceed?" If yes, the counter is reset on the next draft uploaded. If no, the person has to go back and address all the unresolved comments before uploading the new draft. At the end of the process, the last workflow step cannot be marked complete if there are any unresolved comments on the current draft of any document in the Content area. The counter and this warning could help certify that no unseen comments linger in any document while saving the time of checking each document individually.

This was an idea I was going to submit. In addition to this, it would be really useful for PPT notes sections to be visible in the preview.
