  2. Currently, you can't edit inline-blocks within a content area outside of the master language. Meaning if you want to translate anything it's not possible unless you make it a shared block.

This makes it very difficult for content editors to understand but also maintain all of this as you'll be unnecessarily working with tons of shared blocks just to support the language/translation functionality.

The content area should be locked which is correct (no reordering) but the in-line blocks inside of it should still be translated.

  3. Image renditions need to be accessible in the CMS via the DAM picker. This way, the author can choose the different renditions of an image they want to add to the page/view.

  4. Currently, Folder Page and Page have the same icon in the SaaS CMS making it difficult for users to easily identify the content type.
We would like the ability to update Content Types icons via the API.

  5. Hello!

We have teams which we are migrating over to Optimizely SaaS who have a need for conditional content tagging. What I mean by that is when a category is selected on a block, it shows specific fields that are unique to that category. A category could have 0 unique fields or multiple unique fields.

This is important to help prevent our content model or blocks from getting "messy". The only way around this, that we've found, would be to either list out all available fields, which would be confusing to content authors, or have a unique block per category,…

  6. When a user:

Configures a CTA to link to an email address (mailto:) or external link

    Saves and publishes the item/component

Returns later to edit the same item

…the user is unable to remove the optional CTA/link afterward.

This creates a blocking editing issue where previously configured optional email links become effectively permanent unless overwritten with another value.

  7. Create an automatic way, rather than doing it manually, to set the attributes that show in the left navigation bar. That functionality would allow the user to create rule(s) where an attribute would show as a filter only if the attribute meets a specified criteria - for example if 5 items in the category have a value, then show it, if not don't show. Currently no way to set up such a rule.

All I found is a way to say yes or no to attribute showing in the filters, more like an all-or-nothing situation.

Thank you for sharing. We’re currently gathering additional feedback on this idea to understand wider demand. If you have any more context or examples you would like to share, please do include them - it really helps us understand how this would best support your workflow. Thanks for contributing to the conversation!

  8. Currently, when we try to publish and some required properties are missing from an experience or a component from the experience outline, we only see a simple validation message that the property is missing. The problem is that we might have that property on many components and we can't tell from the validation message alone which is the component that causes the problem, so we have to manually find it.

It would be great to also include the component name in the validation message.

  9. Editors cannot choose which head (localhost/dev/qa) to preview a page in - only one endpoint is available and tightly coupled.

  10. Problem
In Optimizely CMS (SaaS) there is currently no way for content editors to generate a long-lived, shareable preview link for unpublished/draft content that external stakeholders can open without a CMS / Opti ID account.
    Current limitations:

The official preview token expires in only 5–10 minutes.
The only official recommendation is to give stakeholders limited CMS access so they can open the page in Visual Builder themselves.
This creates friction for external reviews (clients, legal, marketing stakeholders, executives, agencies, etc.) and forces customers to either:
Maintain a separate staging environment, or
    Build custom workarounds.

This was a solved problem on…

  11. CMS (SaaS) does not currently expose an explicit height/width setting for the rich-text editor. Unlike CMS PaaS (where the editor size can be set in code via the TinyMCE Configuration API), SaaS is configured entirely through the content-type contract, and the only editor setting available for a rich-text property is the toolbar preset.

As a developer worried with the user experience, I would like to have the ability to set the text area's height, at least.

  12. I'm a software developer. I would like to be able to configure the toolbar of the TinyMCE xhtml editor in Optimizely CMS SaaS so it matches the exact wishes of my client. Currently we only have 3 options: minimal, standard and extended. It would be convenient if we could configure the toolbar ourselves. I'm think of an option to insert code snippets, but also simple thinks like support for H2 to H5 but not H1. Basically, I would like to be able to configure everything that TinyMCE allows to be configured out-of-the-box.

  14. I manage our website and we just switched over to Optimizely. It is FAR better than our old system! However, editing our website is not intuitive and the button symbols are so rarely intuitive with their functions. Minimally when you hover over a button it should tell you what it's function is, please!

  15. On PaaS CMS, there's an ability to roll back/undo changes made within a content version during the current session (see screenshot).

For ex: if I make multiple changes to this page, then clicking that "Undo" link will revert the last change (and clicking it again will revert the prior change, etc) all within the current content version.

In PaaS, if you leave the CMS, or just change pages within the CMS, that link goes away, but it can be helpful at times -- would be great to have this available in SaaS CMS.

  16. We currently manage our website in English plus 13 additional languages. Currently, the workflow to translate content requires editors to manually open each target language version in the Languages gadget, initiate auto-translate via Opal, and then manually publish each version. This requires a minimum of 13 separate clicks/actions for every single content change.

We would like a "set-and-forget" automation rule or workflow capability. When a page or block is published in the master language (English):
    1. An automated workflow triggers immediately.
    2. It sends the updated English content to Opal AI's Content Translation engine.
    3. It automatically updates, localizes, and…

  18. When we have a CMS instance on the Conservative ring, it does not prevent updates to the associated DAM instance (and Graph schema for that DAM instance), which can cause issues when the CMS graph doesn't get updated at the same time. See support ticket #1910807 for an example.

  20. In CMS 13 with CMP DAM integration, the DAM Library Picker currently prompts users to manually select a CMP instance when they have access to multiple instances. For users such as partners who frequently work across multiple instances, this creates unnecessary friction and interrupts the workflow.

The expected behavior is that CMS should automatically open or restrict the picker to a specific CMP instance based on its configuration, eliminating the need for manual selection. The DAM Library Picker already supports targeting specific instances (e.g., via instanceIds), but this capability is not currently utilized or exposed in the CMS integration.https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/content-marketing-platform/docs/library-picker#pass-options-in-url
