Protect CMP collections with forms
We are currently evaluating how to better leverage CMP collections as a way to share content externally while maintaining visibility and control over user engagement.
At the moment, our main challenge is that although our DAM serves as a central repository for all our content, we are unable to effectively share materials externally in a trackable way. Specifically, we lack visibility into who is downloading assets, as well as access to user data that would allow us to follow up or engage with those individuals. As a result, the DAM is primarily being used for storage rather than as a strategic distribution and lead generation tool.
What we are trying to achieve is a more advanced and insight-driven use of CMP collections. Ideally, we would like to:
Track not only download activity but also identify who is accessing and downloading the content
Capture user information (e.g. via forms) before granting access to assets
Integrate with tools like Marketo to collect and manage this data for marketing and follow-up purposes
We are exploring whether it is possible to protect collections with forms instead of (or in addition to) passwords, so that users must submit their information before accessing the content. This would allow us to connect content engagement with lead generation and improve our ability to measure the impact of our assets.
Ultimately, our goal is to transform our DAM/CMP from a storage system into an active, data-driven content distribution platform that supports both tracking and marketing objectives.
