I'd love to put in a suggestion to make Steps within workflows hardcoded. Perhaps it can be a check box that be checked on/off if you want to make the step hardcoded.
The purpose of this would be so that when you want to update a step in a workflow that it updates it across all the workflows. Right now when for example our CMO has changed, we have to go into each workflow and update the assignee rather than go to the step (like a field for example and just update the assignee there and then it would update it across all workflows.
