Search should be adjusted based on users history

Search results should take into account user specific information like

  • Has this user ever purchased this item before
  • Did the user recently look at this item online
  • Is this item on a list the user has access to
  • Has anyone else at the same company purchased this item before
  • Etc.

Customers are frequently looking for items they have purchased in the past.  Either:

1.  Those items should be at the top of the list AND should have a badge that shows it was previously purchased

or

2.  There should be a filter/button that lets the user only see items in the search they have history with
