Search results from imagepicker popup in the CMS contains files

I recently added this question to the Episerver World forum:

When a ContentReference property has a [UIHint(UIHint.Image)], I would expect the search result within the image picker window to only return images, not generic files.


This happens when I go into the CMS UI, create/update a page type, click on this property I mentioned above, the image picker window pops up, and I try to search in the searchbar in the top of the popup.
