Contact Us form allows user to submit with empty spaces in required fields

The standard Contact Us form allows users to submit when required fields contain nothing but spaces. This applies to any plain text field, such as First Name and Last Name. We understand that by design the validation code will consider spaces as fulfilling the required field entry. We would like to add an option to not accept blank spaces as valid input for required form fields.
