Hi Saurabh,
We will soon be releasing additional capability to the 'external asset import' that will allow you to convert a list of externally hosted assets to ones that are stored directly in PIM. This was a common request to address customers that are provided with URLs for assets that were time limited but could also help in any case where you currently have assets stored somewhere where you can get an export of their URLs. We will continue to look into additional improvements for bulk asset imports but hopefully this helps address this issue for you.

We are looking for better way to import digital asset physical files into PIM. Currently PIM only supports browser file upload which is very error prone if we have large volume of assets.
Are you looking for a tool external to PIM that would help transfer data faster or a better way to process the files within PIM? For instance support to process an externally hosted list of assets that will automatically download these and upload them to PIM?
Totally agree about this. We initially thought we could use the Excel import by passing urls to images and that PIM would then download those, but it just links them. Additionally being able to set the ProductID in the import itself.
Having to upload files manually through the browser, even if you can select multiple files, will be way too cumbersome if you have more than a few thousand products.
