Allow App Settings with key word 'Episerver'

App Settings pane in the management portal currently does not allow for App Settings that includes the key word episerver - allowing this would increase the flexibility and usefulness of the App Settings feature.

Hi! The management portal will now accept App Settings with the word Episerver or Optimizely.

EPiServer:ContentPersonalization has the same problem as the EPiServer:Cms:Smtp:Network:Password setting. Same with any other optimizely plugin / module setting that has their settings under "EPiServer" keyword and you notice a need to put them into Appsettings pane in DXP. Currently it is not possible because of the error mentioned in the comment.

This issue is specific for the EPiServer:Cms:Smtp:Network:Password use case where you have a secret that is being retrieved by Optimizely email sending module.

Original comment was posted by a "Guest" in the feedback https://feedback.optimizely.com/ideas/DXCS-I-419:

This update is great, but you still don't allow 'EPiServer' in the name, for example 'EPiServer:Cms:Smtp:Network:Password'.

The error message has been updated to suggest that it is allowed now, but it's not.

Please provide a valid secret name. The name must be between 1 and 127 characters long. Secret names can only contain alphanumeric, double underscore, and colon characters.

Better support for AppSettings in DXP Portal

Merged
The way that appsettings work in the DXP environment makes it extremely difficult to set secrets and keep them out of the appsettings.json files. For instance, we are dealing with many Optimizely products that require items like API Keys be added ...
