Enable SFTP for system integratoin

In some cases there is limited options to change the behaviour of the systems we integrate to, one case is integration with the ERP JDEdwards. For various reasons, we are not able to integrate in any other way than to use simple flat file exchanges via SFTP. There is a limitiation with the Commerce Cloud that this is not allowed. This is not the only time we experience these circumstances, it would be good if we could enable SFTP for file exchanges to allow integration.

    Thank you for this recommendation. We would like to make Commerce Cloud easier to integrate with. As part of that effort, we are currently building out REST APIs, which will support headless use cases.

    At this time, we do not have a roadmap item for SFTP file exchanges for Commerce Cloud, but it is something we will consider for the future. In particularly, in 2023, we have a plan to build out our marketplace connectors to third-party applications. During that investigation process, we will investigate if SFTP file exchanges will be helpful.
