Migration Process - Abort Action

As a developer working closely with the platform, I’d like to share some feedback about this incident and hope it can be passed along to the Optimizely management and product owners.

The migration abort action had some unexpected consequences. Even though I initiated the migration for the integration environment only, the abort action ended up removing all environments in Optimizely 12, including all backups. This was quite a shock, and there’s no clear documentation on what the abort action actually does in the background and how it impacts the environments.

For a global enterprise application, having rollback options for user actions and detailed backup support is crucial. This would help us recover more smoothly from such situations and improve the overall user experience.
