Link List widget should be able to contextualize when/when not to display certain pages

We ran into some content authoring trouble when attempting to use both the Navigation List and Link List widgets:

Navigation List - Dynamically creates a menu showing the child pages for a defined parent/root page. Widget updates automatically as new pages are made. This widget is working as expected.

Link List - Allows the creation of a horizontal or vertical menu with any number of pages.

We are attempting to add groupings of My Account links by authoring two different Link Lists to navigation content spot, including new titles, and curating My Account links from the Content Page tree. This grouping seems to be only doable with Link Lists, but the context of the User is not taken into consideration like it is with the Nav List widget.

It seems that the Link List to have a technical shortcoming of not being able to trim out pages when they are not applicable to the user who is logged in, while the Navigation List can. For example, the image attached shows a Buyer1 view of the My Account page - you can see that the Link List is displaying invalid pages (Like User Administration)

We believe that this Link List widget should be able to contextualize when/when not to display certain pages as well, especially given the fact that the Link List authoring experience involves making specific node selections from the Content Page Tree, not just inputting random URLs for example
