Bypass approval sequence for admins

As an administrator I'd like to be able to publish content bypassing the approval sequence. Can there be a feature added to say which roles a particular approval sequence must follow?

Site administrators should be able to publish content without going through any approval sequence. This lack of functionality is preventing us from rolling out distributed content editing permissions throughout the organization.

We would like to see this implemented. Not having this functionality is really a hindrance.

    Hello,
I will keep the request open for further votes as I understand the request is to be able to configure the level of approval needed for any role. However, for the time being, I wanted to show you a functionality that might some admins in the case of many step approval processes. Instead of individually going through each step of the approval process, admins can choose to approve the entire sequence with one click. It is still 3 clicks, rather than 2, but it might help some folks in your organisation!

What I'm asking for here is the ability to apply approval sequences only to certain roles. The rest can simply publish the content.

Yeah right now as an admin, click Ready to Review. click Approve Content, then click Publish Changes. 3 steps then all of the admins are notified by email about my edit. In our environment, the admins are trusted to make changes without review.
