Add compare to custom date range under Activation>Performance

All i wanted to do is compare a selected date range to the prior year but I am powerless to do this under Activation>Performance. I am told the only way to do this is via reports but reports are difficult to build and they don't have the same visual impact that the Performance tab has. I think it's a disgrace that I can't easily access this information. Optimizely seems to be more interested in destroying the Zaius platform rather than improve it. What in the world is going on over there?
