CMS 12 removed the fallback language in content area UI
In our solution, we have 31 different languages, and thus a lot of language fallbacks both for pages and blocks. In CMS 11, we could easily spot the blocks in a content area that were a fallback, it would be a slightly darker grey and also had the locale name it was falling back to on it. In CMS 12, this functionality disappeared. Our editors use a lot of blocks on their pages and are missing this sorely. Could you please consider readding this feature?

Bring back Smart Publish
Please put Smart Publish back in the Publish menu. It disappeared in the move to CMS 12 and the only thing my team can find that's even close is to the same functionality is to:
1. Create a new Project.
2. Make any changes in the new project.
3. Hit Overview.
4. Publish Items from Overview .
Not only is that not intuitive at all, but it's significantly more work (especially if you forget and make a bunch of changes in the Primary Draft, because then you have to redo them in the new Project.4 votes -
Add all the current .NET cultures to the CMS languages list
For example: We need to add the culture en-ES for a customer. It exists as a valid culture in .NET but is not available to select as a language in the CMS.
(In our setup it is not an option to use the default en language code for English on the spanish site.4 votes -
Translation of List<T> and LinkCollection item in page is not supported on netframework version (CMS 11
For stringlist and linkitemcollection properties, we could see the values are just duplicated and not translated to native text during the auto translate of page.
The issue is reproducible in Alloy solution and attached the evidence for the same.
Also, please find the attached email from Optimizely team as well.3 votes -
Stop the endless scrolling to find 'For This Page/Block" in the Asset Pane
Editors spend unspeakable amounts of time scrolling to the end of the Blocks and Media etc tabs in the Asset Pane to get to the 'For This Page/Block'. Mostly editors use local assets and so the folder 'For This Page/Block' should always be pinned to the top of these tabs.

Preview unpublished content delivered by Content Delivery API
In the documentation it says that it is possible to enable previews of unpublished content delivered by Content Delivery API https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/content-management-system/v1.5.0-content-delivery-api/docs/customizing-content-delivery-api-for-edit-view. However the example that is provided wont work since HttpContextContextModeResolver that it uses checks for values in the current request that indicates that the request is made to the cms edit mode.
This will never be true when you are using Content Delivery API to fetch the content since the request is made to /api/episerver/v3.0/content/... and not /episerver/cms/...
In my opinion, Optimizely should have a built in way of previewing unpublished content delivered by Content Delivery API or…3 votes -
Granular Access Rights for CMS Settings Area
In the Settings area anyone with the "CMSAdmin" or "Content Admins" has access to the full rights to edit anything in here.
We should be able to set granular rights to these function areas for example if I want a specific user group to be able to make updates to Content Types but not Manage Website and Access Right this should be possible3 votes -
Full Project View
Allow for a full list view of all project details, including tasks and workflow steps. It's hard to review all the work needed for a project when having to flip between each task to see the workflow steps.
Something like this:
| Task 1 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
| Step 1 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
| Step 2 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |
| Task 2 | Start Date | End Date | Owner | Status |

EPiServer.Forms.Samples uses out of data JQuery.UI with known vulnerabilities
One of our customers is using the EPiServer.Forms.Samples library, mostly to facilitate content gating with the Forms Visitor Groups. During a recent penetration test the following was reported:
We also observed the use of a known vulnerable version of jquery-ui at /Util/EPiServer.Forms.Samples/jquery-ui/jquery-ui.js which is known to have the following vulnerabilities
CVE-2022-31160 (https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-31160 : XSS when refreshing a checkboxradio with an HTML-like initial text label
Recommendation
Use the latest versions of the dependencies where possible. If it is not possible to update these, ensure the vulnerable components are not used.
There does not appear to be an equivalent of the…3 votes -
Add ODP segments as visitor group criteria
As an editor I would like to make up visitor groups based on customer data from ODP. Profile properties, segments etc.
I am aware of a community add-on that accomplishes this. But I believe this is something that is so important it should come from the Optimizely.3 votes -
[Feature request] Display forms in 'For This Site' and 'For This Page' sections when creating an EpiServer Forms criteria under Audiences
Dear Team,
Currently, when setting up EpiServer Forms criteria in Audiences, we can only select forms listed under the 'For All Sites' section. However, our business also requires the use of forms from the 'For This Site' and 'For This Page' sections.
It would be helpful if future releases could include this feature.
Thanks!
Best regards,

Allow ancestor/children links in Content Areas in Content Graph
I am looking to get the parent/children of a content item that is used within a Content Area to support a hierarchical relationship. Currently, it is not possible to use the _link property on Content Areas within Content Graph.
In this query:
query MyQuery { MyPage(where:{ContentLink:{Id:{eq: 1119}}}) { item { ContentLink { Id } _link(type: ANCESTORS) { MyParentPage { items { Url } } } } } MyBlock(where:{ContentLink:{Id: {eq:1127}}}) { items { Cards { ContentLink { Id Expanded { _link(type: ANCESTORS) { MyParentPage { items { Url } } } } } } } } }In the first query,…

Trademark & superscript text in content
At the moment, there's no way to superscript trademark or registered symbols in the copy within the email. The only way to edit this is within an element.

Support redirect host definitions with secondary language branches
As a site owner, I would like to use a redirect HostDefinitionType to redirect secondary domains to the primary domain. This is working in most scenarios.
However, it is not supported when I have one primary domain, and alternative language branches have no separate domains, but are served as "subfolders" on the primary domain.
If, for instance, the primary host definition has "no" as language code, then I can set type to be redirect on a secondary domain, if the language code is the same as the primary host definition.
But if I add a secondary domain, set it to…2 votes -
Remove multiple items in Content Area in one go
You can select multiple blocks, images and products from the asset pane (ctrl + click or shift + click and drag them into the Content Area. However, there is no way of doing the same thing if you want to remove them from the Contet Area. This is often the case for commerce customers that add 100 products to a campaign page and want to remove them some time after. Attached video shows CMS 11 but its the same for CMS 12.

Provide Excel download on Reports
In the section "Reports", it would be very helpful if I am able to download the created report as Excel file. That way, I can sort the information, do better filtration, get a better overview on certain topics and I am able to forward this information also to stakeholders with no access to the Optimizely CMS. Currently, also with the less intuitive overview due to the pagination, I can not get much information out of a report.

New cache architecture for the platform
Currently there exists a large number of different caches used in CMS and all its addons, Optimizely codebase primarily uses ISynchronizedObjectInstanceCache (implemented by RemoteCacheSynchronization but there are a lot of other caching mechanisms across the platform and its addons.
The current implementation is not a good fit for high traffic sites that scales out to multiple instances as the event system, for example using the azure service bus event provider created by Optimizely, used for cache invalidation isn't fast enough to keep up, leading to numerous issues with stale data, publishing of content that doesn't work, order exceptions when working…2 votes -
Make LoadContentAsync and LoadChildrenReferencesAndTypesAsync return Task<>
When I inherit from ContentProvider I need to override LoadContent and LoadChildrenReferencesAndTypes. These two methods are not async which means that I can't use async/await in those methods. If below methods existed I could override them instead and use async/await in my implementation.
Task<IContent?> LoadContentAsync
Task<IList<GetChildrenReferenceResult>> LoadChildrenReferencesAndTypesAsync
I know I can use Task.Run( to call async methods but It's not recommended.
Here is some guidelines from David Fowler who works with .NET at Microsoft.https://github.com/davidfowl/AspNetCoreDiagnosticScenarios/blob/master/AsyncGuidance.md#avoid-using-taskresult-and-taskwait2 votes -
Language translation of email contents in Episerver Forms
As a an editor I would like to translate the contents regarding "Send email after form submission" on the "Settings" tab in order to send e-mails with the correct language to end users, especially with regards to subject and message. This is not currently possible since this list-property is not culture specific.

Enable selection of datetime format on DateTime block in EPiServer.Forms
The current implementation of the DateTime element (found in the EpiServer.Forms.Samples package appears to be insufficient.
In the DateTimeElementBlock.js file, the logic used to determine the language format relies on the browser's language settings. However, this approach fails, as many Danish users have their browsers set to English (US by default, resulting in the language code en-US. This causes the jQuery date picker to display the wrong date format.
var _utilsSvc = epi.EPiServer.Forms.Utils,
language = navigator.language || navigator.userLanguage, // on iOS naviagtor.language is in lower case (ex: en-us
dateFormatSettings = epi.EPiServer.Forms.Samples.DateFormats[language.toLowerCase(] || epi.EPiServer.Forms.Samples.DateFormats["en-us"],
dateFormat = dateFormatSettings.pickerFormat;
A better solution would…2 votes
