Visual licence type indicator when assigning users to workflow steps
Description:
When assigning a user to a workflow step or sharing a task in CMP, there is currently no visual cue to indicate what licence type that user holds (guest, collaborator, creator or admin). This means an assignee can unknowingly be added to a step they do not have the permissions to action — receiving the notification, opening the task, and only then being told by the system they cannot proceed.
This creates a closed loop with no feedback to the person who made the assignment, and no prompt to correct it.
Proposed solution:
Display a small, clear indicator — such as a badge or label — alongside each user's name in the assignment dropdown, showing their current licence type. This would allow task owners and admins to make informed assignment decisions at the point of action, rather than discovering the issue after the fact.
Business impact:
Particularly relevant for organisations with a mixed licence structure (guests alongside collaborators and creators), where task assignees may not be known to the person assigning. Reduces workflow delays, failed handoffs and the risk of a task stalling silently because the assigned user lacked the necessary permissions.
